A little help please...

Some of you may have heard that my mom (Jason's mom) is currently in the hospital. She has had some type of pneumonia thing for the last couple of months and so they have her there so they can give her regular breathing treatments. We don't think it's life threatening but it sure is uncomfortable for her. Please, if you pray, pray for her and if you fast, we will be fasting for her on March 2nd.

Who's that on the radio?!?

Well we have the clinic up and running and we are ready for our grand opening. Check out the website for the clinic to see the flyer. If you are in the Willamette Valley please come by and celebrate with us on Monday Feb 4th from 2-7pm. There will even be free massages.

So there you go. An early look at our clinic. Like I said the art wasn't up on the walls when these pictures were taken, but at least you get an idea of where we ALL spend ALL our days and nights :)

Yes, we did have Christmas! Having moved to Corvallis just 3 days prior to the 25th, we opted out of decorating the new house for Christmas. We had to "borrow" the Christmas trees from our various families as we celebrated at their different homes.

Christmas eve was spent with Jason's folks here in Corvallis. We had awesome sandwich's from Togo's and then opened gifts. Boy are we spoiled. It was really fun. Short, but fun. The Young's were very accommodating to our schedule as we needed to be up in Portland that evening for dinner with all of my family. It may have only been a few hours, but it was a few hours of fun :)

We headed up to Portland for our annual Prime-Rib feast at my folks. It's Jason's favorite dinner of all time as it is the only time he can say "Please pass more prime-rib". Our usual tradition of tacos on Christmas eve night was quickly replaced as we kids grew up and acquired a more sophisticated taste :)

The three little grand kids all slept in the same room that night. My kiddos, who are usually asleep by 7:30 or 8:00 were up reading and singing "The cheese stands alone" over and over until about 11:45. My sister and mom were in there with them just giggling the ENTIRE time...no help for the kids getting to sleep, but we still talk about it, so I guess some good memories were made :)

Christmas morning we kept the tradition going strong of only opening our stockings and then getting dressed, going out to breakfast, then returning home to open the rest of our gifts. The guys who married into the family aren't to sure about this tradition, but we love it!! It just wouldn't be Christmas without it!

Overall, Christmas was great. Jason and I were able to teach the girls "Away in a Manger" and they sang it for both families along with "telling" them the Christmas story. What a great time of year to think of and be thankful for how we all are blessed, be it great or small. May we all carry that same thankful spirit throughout the year!

Are we alive??

You bet...barely!! The clinic is painted, the treatment rooms are ready and we are exhausted!! It looks fantastic though. We've really made some progress these last couple of weeks. My sister and parents came up and down today to help put on the finishing touches. Drea was in charge of the atrium, something Jason and I were dreading having to do. She did a FANTASTIC job. I can hardly believe it. I mean I know she's creative and all, but to make a stream out of rocks and mirrors?? Who thinks of that kind of stuff. SHE DOES!! Anyways, it's beautiful. Jason took pictures, but is still down at the clinic networking the computers. So we'll have to wait to show you her fantastic work. Oh and my dad recovered an exam table with this sparkly sliver vinyl. SO FUN!!!! I can't wait to post the pictures for you all to see.

The girls are doing good. We have them so far off their schedule it's amazing. They are doing pretty well just going with the flow though. We have them in swimming lessons on M & W and then Soccer on Saturdays. So they have some fun activities throughout the week...something to look forward to and reasons to be good :)

We need some help painting the clinic, BAD!! We are painting the entire thing and it's taking longer than we thought. We had 3 people working on it yesterday. They got the front office and the first lobby done, but there's LOTS more to do. Jason will even pay you!!
